Ottawa endures over 50 freeze-thaw cycles each winter, making base preparation and joint sand selection critical to long-term performance. We work with concrete pavers, porcelain pavers, and permeable paving systems suited to the Ottawa River valley's heavy clay soils, which demand careful grading and drainage planning to prevent water pooling.

Every installation includes excavation to proper depth, compacted granular base layers, geotextile fabric where soil conditions require it, and polymeric sand joints rated for our harsh winters. If your property falls within a heritage conservation district such as the Glebe, Sandy Hill, or Centretown, we ensure materials and designs comply with local heritage guidelines. City of Ottawa permits may be required depending on grading changes and proximity to property lines.

With a short outdoor building season running May through October, we schedule efficiently to deliver your patio before the first frost arrives.
